Wow, what can I say on here that hasn't already been said regarding R2's Raffi and Robert. I purchased an older Porsche Boxster that needed a little engine work. I brought it over to R2 and was. I shipped my 2004 BMW X3 to R2 Racing to repair my transmission and AC evaporator leak. R2 Racing is an Exotic repair shop in Canyon Country, CA. A great driving, numbers correct car with no known rust issues. I've owned the car since 2009 and have put about 18,000 miles on it since then. The previous owner changed the color from Burgundy to Amazon Green Metallic, replaced the original carbs with Webers, performed an interior and Targa top reconditioning, and claimed to have perform an engine refresh. The car includes the original 2.2 liter engine, dogleg transmission, and 14' Fuch wheels.
Work I've had performed includes:
  • new fuel tank
  • new SSI heat exchangers
  • recent carb rebuild
  • Carrera chain tensioners
  • turbo tie rods
  • Bilstein shocks
  • K&N air cleaner kit with rain shield tops (I have the original air cleaner)
  • complete windows-out respray (about 7 years ago)
  • Coco mats

The car is not perfect, but is garage kept and has been cared for. A pre-purchase inspection is welcomed and expected (at your expense, of course.) R2 Racing in Canyon Country, CA is my current mechanic and is familiar with the car. Earlier work was performed by TRE Motorsports in Van Nuys, CA.
Known issues include:
  • Yes, it does have a few oil leaks, mostly around the valve covers.
  • The glove box lock/latch is broken, so it won't open.
  • The passenger seat folding mechanism is broken.
  • The plastic covers for the front seat belt receptacles are missing.
  • The front hood struts need to be replaced.
  • The Fuchs could use refurbishment.

Asking $56,000
